- Following Oxford Economics’ prediction of a huge increase in digital technology roles, Intelligent Environments encourages tech talent to turbo charge their careers by choosing smaller firms over large multinationals
- Benefits of working for a technology SME include more responsibility, greater involvement in end-to-end project development and the opportunity to work on game-changing technology
- The call comes as Intelligent Environments launches a recruitment drive to support its next phase of expansion
With a huge increase in digital technology jobs predicted by Oxford Economics recently, Intelligent Environments encourages top tech talent to consider the benefits of working for a smaller firm. According to the digital financial services company, choosing David over Goliath means employees get the chance to have more responsibility, greater involvement in end-to-end project development and the opportunity to work on game-changing technology.
Intelligent Environments has launched a recruitment drive to fill several software, mobile and front-end developer roles. This comes off the back of rapid expansion over the past year and greater international demand, with projects going live in a range of European countries including Switzerland, Malta and Belgium.
According to a recent report by Oxford Economics, 46,000 digital technology jobs will be created in the capital over the next ten years, pumping an extra £12bn into the economy. SMEs will likely be fuelling this increase with almost a third of Britain’s small and medium sized business intending to recruit new staff this year. In light of this, Intelligent Environments is encouraging technology professionals to realise the benefits of working for a smaller firm.
David Webber, managing director at Intelligent Environments commented “Smaller organisations are agile, exciting and often faster moving than the larger technology companies. For example, developers in small firms can pitch ideas and see them deployed within a matter of days.”
“Our employees work on game-changing developments. For example, last year we created the world’s first smartwatch banking application. We also regularly hold Innovation Lab sessions where our development teams brainstorm and create software for the latest systems.”
“At Intelligent Environments we are committed to improving the digital banking experience for consumers and are currently on the hunt for the brightest tech minds. Successful recruits will work on a variety of new technology such as wearables and biometric authentication, to create innovative mobile and online services for our clients.”
Roles currently available at Intelligent Environments include positions in front end web, iOS and C# .Net software development plus market analysis. Successful recruits, based in Kingston, Surrey, will receive benefits such as health insurance, life assurance and pension scheme.
